1 can lima beans (opt)
1 can garbonzo beans (opt)
1 can pork ‘n’ beans
1 tsp liquid smoke
1 can kidney beans
3 Tbsp brown sugar
1 can green beans
½ c ketchup
½ lb hamburger
3-5 strips cooked leftover bacon
chopped onion
Dump all beans in a large kettle. Add liquid smoke, sugar and ketchup,
mix well. Fry hamburger with onion, drain and add to beans. Add bacon,
heat through and serve.
Notes: you can use ¼ cup bacos instead of fresh bacon, use onion powder
instead of fresh onion, and omit the hamburger if you don’t have any,
and it is still good. If your family doesn’t like lima and garbonzo beans, sustitute with any other beans you do like.
