2 c. packed brown sugar
1 ¾ c flour (wheat, white wheat, rye etc.)
2 eggs
1 tsp soda
1 tsp vanilla
½ tsp salt
1 c shortening
3 c quick oats
1 c chocolate chips
Cream the brown sugar, shortening, eggs, and vanilla in a bowl.
Blend in flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir in the rolled oats and
chocolate chips. Then drop by spoonfuls onto greased baking
sheets. Bake at 350* for 7-8 minutes. Do not over bake. 4-5 dozen
