Berries and Cream

1 pkg. (3oz.) blackberry gelatin
1 cup boiling water
1 can (16 oz.) pears


Cream Topping:
1 pkg. (30z.) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp almond extract

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Drain syrup from pears: add water to make 1 cup. Stir into gelatin. Add sliced pears. Pour into and 8x8-inch pan and refrigerate until set. Combine topping ingredients; mix until smooth. Spread topping over gelatin. Yield 6 servings.
